Top 6 Romantic Valentine's Day Destinations in the World

giving your relationship a dramatically new boost is always great. Upgrade yourself from bringing only red roses and chocolates every year; this is the time to gift him/her a romantic getaway.
Here are some top romantic, sweet and sexy destinations, where you can plan to celebrate your love.

Las Vegas: Fall In Love Once Again

One of the most spectacular and dynamic cities, Las Vegas, is the finest place for a romantic getaway. Whatever your budget and style, it suits to every pocket size. You can choose the perfect place for your big day from a wide range of venues and hotels. Numerous hotel options are available and each celebrates the festival of love.

Getting There:

By plane – McCarran International Airport (IATA: LAS) is served by many domestic and international air carriers. Southwest Airlines has a hub at LAS. Henderson Executive Airport (ICAO: KHND) is the corporate choice for aviation in Las Vegas. Located just minutes from the world famous Vegas strip, Henderson Airport is the ideal alternative to McCarran International Airport. Air taxi and air charter companies such as The Early Air Way and Jetset Charter fly a variety of private charter aircraft and jets, from charter luxury Gulfstream's down to economical piston twins for small groups and individuals.

By rail – Amtrak's Southwest Chief operates daily service from Los Angeles, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico to Needles, California, 113 miles south of Las Vegas. From Needles, there is bus service to Las Vegas, with a stop in Laughlin.

Amtrak's San Joaquin Route operates between San Francisco and Bakersfield. From Bakersfield, Amtrak operates 2 daily buses to Las Vegas.

By car – Southern Californians crowd Interstate 15 every weekend going back and forth to Vegas. Expect this drive to be congested with frustrating stop-and-go traffic going northbound (into Las Vegas) on Friday evenings and southbound (out of Las Vegas) on Sunday afternoons. However, during off-peak hours, many find the 280 mile (450 km) drive along I-15 restful and scenic. Attractions along Interstate 15 include the California towns of Barstow and Baker; the Mojave Desert; and small hotel-casinos in Nevada at Primm (at the California border) and Jean, respectively. Those who traverse I-15 should remember that they are crossing a desert, and should carry (and drink) ample amounts of water, especially on hot summer days where temperatures can reach 110°F (43°C).

Sizzle in the Seychelles

The group of 115 islands scattered in the Indian Ocean is blessed from Mother Nature. The beautiful white sand beaches, big glacis boulders, topaz water and lush hills are the main attractions. Enjoy the big day with your beloved and let the romance sizzle in your life.

Getting There:

By plane – The only international gateway to the Seychelles is Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) near Victoria. Air Seychelles reduced its operations in late 2011/2012 and now flies only to Johannesburg and Mauritius. International service is also available from Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines), Nairobi (Kenya Airways), Dubai (Emirates ), Abu Dhabi (Etihad) and Doha (Qatar Airways), and regular charter services from Frankfurt (Condor). Now Mihin Lanka of Sri Lanka connect Colombo to Victoria.

By boat – The strict controls imposed on cruising yachts in the early 1990s have been gradually lifted and rules and regulations are no longer so complicated. However, some restrictions remain in force, mostly for the sake of environmental protection as most of the islands are surrounded by coral reefs near the surface.

Do the tango in Buenos Aires

Experience the Tango, (the national dance of Argentina) with your beloved and express your feelings at the sultry place. Sweep your valentine on his/her feet doing the tango. The main airport used for international flights to travel to and from Buenos Aires is Ezeiza International Airport, about 35 km (20 mi) south of Buenos Aires. Most domestic flights, as well as many flights to and from neighbouring countries (Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay) use the smaller but more convenient Aeroparque Jorge Newbery airport, a short distance from downtown Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires also has a lot of small airports dedicated to chartered flights and private aircraft.

By train – There are national railways, but they are very few in numbers. There are some long distance domestic services. Buses are usually faster and more comfortable, but also three times as expensive. There are several main stations in the Buenos Aires area.

By car – You can get to Buenos Aires from any of the neighbouring countries by car, but it is far away from most of the borders. It is really common to travel there only from Uruguay and southern Brazil.
There are four main highways entering the city which connect to suburban areas and other national routes. As with the trains, the bigger and more frequented routes are centered in Buenos Aires, so you will have no problem driving to and from the rest of the country.

Heading to Rosario city, you can travel by highway all the way (north access highway, then route 9). From here you can keep heading north on a good route (Panamericana), or turn right about 150km from Buenos Aires and go to the Mesopotamia region.

Woo your valentine under Venice’s Bridge of Sighs

There is no other place to woo your valentine. Venice’s Bridge of Sighs is a romantic place in the amazing water city that seduces with tangles lanes. It was built in 1602 and designed by Antoni Contino. It is quite lovely from the outside but not from the inside.

Getting there:
By plane – The closest commercial airport is Marco Polo Airport (ICAO: LIPZ, IATA: VCE), on the mainland near Mestre (a more typical Italian city, without Venice's unique structure). There is a city bus and a shuttle bus from Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma.

By train – Trains from the mainland run through Mestre to the Venezia Santa Lucia train station on the west side of Venice; make sure you don't get confused with Venezia Mestre which is the last stop on the mainland. From the station district, water buses (vaporetti) or water taxis can take you to hotels or other locations on the islands, but walking is usually the best option. Direct trains to Venice are available from many international destinations, there are overnight trains from Munich, Paris and Vienna and also a weekly long-distance night train (four nights) from Moscow via Kiev, Budapest and Zagreb.

One of the best ways to arrive to Venice by train is with the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The local handling agent can do reservations and take care of all the transfers from the train when you arrive. Venice is well-connected with the domestic train network, Rome and Milano are only a few hours away.
By car – Cars arrive on the far western edge of Venice, but remain parked at the entrance to the city (Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto - Europe's largest car park.) There are no roads past this point -- and never were, even before cars. Car parking is very very expensive here and the tailbacks can be quite large. An alternative is to use the car parks on the mainland (terra ferma) and catch a train or bus or vaporetto into Venice. Park near the Mestre railway station, and catch a train to Venezia St.Lucia; there are many trains, it is very near (8-10 minutes).

By boat – Ships arrive at the Stazione Marittima, which is at the west end of the main islands, it is served by vaporetti and water taxis.
