How the office environment helps to increase productivity?

A good, enthusiastic and energetic office environment helps employees to work with great efforts and grow higher. But, it’s not just about the structure, interiors etc. colleagues, bosses and management also plays an important role. When you join a new office, on your first day, you be ready to meet the new people and environment. Whether you are an experienced or fresher, every office has its own identity that you come to know after joining it. You can expect that in whatever environment you were, same you would get in your next. But, whether good or bad, you can’t find the similar atmosphere in every office. As I already said, it’s not about architecture, interior etc. it’s depend on you and people working in the organisation as well as rules of the company. So let’s try to understand it...

Boss

Your boss is somehow directly responsible for the office atmosphere. A cool person may help you to learn new things, but may not help at every problem and ask you to find out the solution. He/she can make the environment light so that you can work comfortably. Though, in this situation few members enjoy their job and perform lower. While a strict boss may help you by giving solution of every problem, but may his/her strict behaviour make you feel down and again result lower production or business.

If both type of bosses are not good for the business then who need to be selected as the boss! Actually a common mind set is – there are two types of bosses - one strict and second cool, but it’s not a universal truth. There is a third type of boss can be found, though it’s not easy but not impossible.

A boss who has expertise in the field with a cool attitude and happy life can make your working a lot easier for you. A professional boss always separates his personal and professional life, as mixing both creates problems. A perfect boss separates both lives and focus at one on the specific time, be happy and keep their employees happy. And this is not only applicable on bosses; employees also come in the same circle. So you also need to become a perfect separator.

Colleagues


Your colleagues support you when you are new in the office as well as introduce new people to you. Interacting with everyone helps to build a professional relationship that can be useful when you stuck at a point or face problem, here your colleagues can help you. Working in a team requires team effort, and if your colleagues are not helpful then you will suffer. Though completing your assigned task is always good and after that you can help others. To become a good employee and colleague try to help your colleagues to finish their tasks after completing your assignment. As when your team would finish the project within or before the specific time limit, you would get some time to spend with the team. This time can be utilised by discussing the challenges you face to complete the given task and how to improve your team efforts, skills etc.

Competitive and Joyful environment


Workload can increase anytime, in this situation only joyful working environment can help to complete your task within specified time limit. Few bosses think that when you have a lot of work, employees should work for longer hours and go for fewer breaks. But as per my experience, whenever people work for a goal in a joyful environment, they not only enjoy also put their more than 100% efforts to complete the task. It is like, I got a challenge and I will prove that I am the best. Competitive plus joyful environment give employees extra energy, so whenever you find something impossible, just think about the challenge and find out the ways to fight with it.

It might possible you would not find all the qualities at your present, previous or future office, but you can try to build them with the help of your team and boss.


People who join new office look for the working environment similarly when people hire a company for a particular job they consider it as well. In the most of the cases, I found that when a big brand hires a virtual employee always consider their working environment, because they know if the environment is nice and enthusiastic they can expect real good business.
